Bonner 24-Hour Release Access
The Bonner County Sheriff publishes a Current Inmate Offense List, not a list of people released today. The PDF is regenerated on a nightly pattern and lists people in custody at the report time. No separate official 24-hour release URL was found. Handle the absence with a records workflow, not by comparing names and calling every disappearance a release.
For an immediate check, call Booking Information at 208-263-8417 ext. 3005. For proof, ask Sheriff's Records for the existing daily release or custody-movement record for the date. Include the person's name, known booking date or number, actual date and time custody ended, release reason, releasing authority, and destination agency if transferred.
Check Bonner Releases Today
- Open the sheriff detention page and note the timestamp on the current report.
- Search the PDF only to learn whether the person is listed now.
- Call Booking when timing is urgent.
- Open the Bonner case in iCourt for bond, dismissal, judgment, or a release order.
- Submit the county request form for the actual release fields.
- If transfer is possible, check IDOC, BOP, ICE, or the named receiving agency.
A court order explains legal authority but not the moment custody ended. Match the case number to the booking, then request the sheriff's actual exit time and disposition. For one named person across all systems, use the Bonner released-inmate search path.

The current PDF instead carries incarceration and arrest facts, offenses, bond due, and sometimes Scheduled Release. It does not supply a dependable completed release time, reason, destination, or supervision field. Never copy its prospective date into an actual-release field.
Bonner Release Record Fallback
Send a narrow request to Sheriff's Records at 4001 N. Boyer Road, Sandpoint, ID 83864, by the email shown on the current form or by fax at 208-265-4378. Official county pages display both records@bonnercountyid.gov and an older records@bonnercoid.gov address. Use the address on the form being submitted or call 208-263-8417 to verify delivery.
Idaho Code § 74-102 permits a reasonably specific written request and electronic delivery. For residents, the first two labor hours and first 100 paper pages are generally free unless another authorized fee applies. Resident requests ordinarily use a three-working-day period, or ten working days after written extension notice. Ask for one date in native electronic form.
VINE can send a future custody-event alert from a participating source. IDOC is the right fallback after a state commitment. Neither replaces the sheriff release entry for a completed Bonner jail exit. The 72-Hour Releases page covers a wider three-day request.
Bonner Release or Transfer
A listed name indicates county custody at that snapshot. A missing name can mean release, transfer, correction, movement to another jail, IDOC, federal or immigration custody, or death. The release disposition and destination resolve the issue. A transfer ends Bonner's physical custody but is not a community release.
For a state commitment, use the IDOC search. In custody means confinement continues. In community generally means felony supervision outside prison. Discharged with a date means the state sentence ended. Report the status each source actually shows.
Bond Is Not Release Proof
The sheriff links CitePay USA for paying a citation or posting bond from home. Payment can start the process, but other holds or processing may remain. CitePay can show a payment step, and iCourt can show a bond order. Only Booking and the custody record establish departure and destination.
Bonner PDF Archive Trap
The direct PDF is overwritten. Search-visible archive snapshots are former current lists, not a complete release ledger. Comparing them misses brief bookings and misclassifies transfers. An old report proves only that someone appeared at that report time. Request the actual time, reason, authority, and destination instead.
Bonner App Photos Stay Current
The Idaho Sheriff Connect rollout reportedly added current-inmate images, follow notifications, and a request form. No source says it has a recent-release tab or retains photos after release. The web PDF has no photos. Request the booking image and release entry from Sheriff's Records; an arrest image is not proof of conviction.
The app and PDF answer a present-custody question. They do not create a reliable yesterday-versus-today ledger. If an associated booking photograph is needed, include it in the focused records request and keep the image separate from the release conclusion. A photograph documents a booking, not guilt, conviction, or current status.
Document a Same-Day Check
Note the exact date and time each source was checked. Preserve the PDF's report timestamp, the spelling searched, the iCourt case number, and the response from Booking or Records. If the answer is not yet available, report that the event remains unconfirmed instead of filling the gap with an estimate. Data can lag while release processing, transport, or intake at another agency is underway.
A useful final record separates three findings: the court action that authorized movement, the Sheriff timestamp and disposition that ended Boyer Road custody, and any receiving-agency status. That method also prevents an Active Bench Warrant, VINE alert, or IDOC In community result from being mistaken for a Bonner jail release entry.
Request One Bonner Release Day
A one-day request should identify an existing record rather than ask Sheriff's staff to create a new report or answer a research question. Ask for the jail-release screen, daily release report, custody-history entry, booking jacket fields, or custody-movement data already maintained for the specified calendar date. State that an electronic copy in its native format is preferred. If only one person matters, provide the full name, known variants, booking date, and booking number or date of birth when lawfully known.
Request the actual date and time county custody ended, the release disposition or reason and its code definition, the releasing authority, and the destination agency when a transfer occurred. Bond data and the associated booking image can be requested if responsive, but neither substitutes for the completed release entry. A narrow request makes it easier for Records to locate and segregate public administrative fields from protected medical, victim, witness, juvenile, or investigative information.
If a fee may apply, ask for an itemized estimate before work begins. Idaho's current resident provisions generally allow the first two labor hours and first 100 paper pages without charge unless another authorized fee controls. The statutory response period is not a promise that a same-day historical document will arrive immediately, so Booking remains the operational route for an urgent current-status question.
Route the Next Custody Check
The destination controls the next search. A felony commitment can lead from the Bonner jail to an IDOC institution or a county-jail contract placement. Search the IDOC Resident/Client system after intake and read In custody, In community, and Discharged as separate statuses. A federal sentenced prisoner belongs in the BOP locator. An immigration transfer belongs in ICE's locator and ERO contact channels. A federal pretrial move may require the federal court, counsel, or the U.S. Marshals district office because USMS offers no comparable public roster.
Idaho VINE can supplement this chain with a custody-event search or a future alert. It is useful when the participating source reports an event, but it cannot certify the Sheriff's physical exit time or explain every transfer. Match the agency and event shown in the live result before describing it.
A no-result finding is equally limited. Spelling, aliases, date coverage, data lag, confidentiality, and the wrong jurisdiction can all produce no match. Write that the name was not found in the named system on the date and with the search inputs used. Do not convert that result into “definitely released,” “never incarcerated,” or “not supervised.”
Why the Wider Window Helps
Release processing and public updates do not necessarily follow a reader's midnight-to-midnight window. A court action late in the day, a transport, or a nightly PDF refresh can straddle two dates. When the exact day is uncertain, the 72-Hour Releases workflow requests one focused three-day range rather than relying on three roster comparisons.
The wider request still needs the same completed-event fields. It should not be described as an online feed because Bonner County publishes no official rolling 72-hour release list either. The advantage is practical: one defined range can capture an event whose court, booking, and movement timestamps fall on adjacent days.
